Starting from Cairo or Giza, a journey back to feel the glory of the mysterious Pyramids of Giza: The great pyramid of Cheops, the son’s pyramid Chephren and the grand son’s one Mycrinus & the Great Sphinx, which supposed to be built even before the pyramids themselves.
Saqqara Step Pyramid of Zoser or the king Djeser
Proceed to Saqqara where the first stone constructed pyramid was designed by the genius architect Imhotep, the founder of the step Pyramid complex of the king Djeser; the founder of the third dynasty and the old kingdom period. Saqqara is the most ancient necropolis and it is where we found the first wooden statue, the first pyramid, the first book of the dead inscribed of the walls of the 5th dynasty pyramid “Unas”.
Dahshour Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid of Senefru
Drive to Dahshur where we have two pyramids belong to the same king Senefru; the founder of the fourth dynasty and the father of Cheops, the Bent pyramid of Dahshur which we still do not have enough information about nor reasons why it has got this shape, and the Red Pyramid which built out of Red limestone that’s why looks more reddish, after finishing your tour drive back to your hotel.
